West Yorkshire based Aegis Healthcare Ltd - a specialised distributor of medical devices, products and services that improve patient care, is pleased to announce it has completed the acquisition of Pavillion Medical Ltd - a developer and manufacturer of bed frames and other specialist equipment for bariatric patients.

The acquisition of Pavillion Medical provides Aegis Healthcare with a dedicated manufacturing arm coupled with product development expertise and will give Aegis immediate access into the rapidly expanding bariatric market segment. Pavillion Medical already supply over 50% of the annual total bariatric bed sales into the UK healthcare marketplace, which currently has an estimated market value of £35 million per year.
